Performing Troupes

At DANCE!, we have various Performing Troupes, all built around hard work, dedication to growth, and a commitment to community service. Our Performing Troupes include the DANCE! Workshop Company, Competition Team, and Stars Performance Team, each offering dancers unique opportunities to develop their skills, perform, and make a positive impact in the community.

Our resident performing troupe, The DANCE! Workshop Company, is dedicated to giving back through the power of dance. Recently, our Company has had the honor of performing at several meaningful events, including visits to Parke Place Assisted Living, Washington Township’s Night Out, and the St. Jude Walk at the Philadelphia Zoo. Beyond performances, we actively support initiatives such as the Thanksgiving Food Drive, our annual "Adopt a Family" holiday program, and our most cherished fundraiser, DANCE! For A Cure, which raises funds for the Pediatric Oncology Department at CHOP. Our dancers take great joy in bringing smiles to others while sharing their passion for dance and performance.

Each season, the Company presents a full-length production, providing dancers in our Company, Competition Team, and Stars Performance Team, as well as students of our school, a chance to showcase their talents in a theatrical setting. These productions go beyond traditional recitals, featuring original storylines, creative choreography, and elaborate staging. Some of our past shows include Over the Rainbow, If the Shoe Fits, Overtime for Santa, Christmas in the City, PAN, and Once Upon a Jingle. These performances offer dancers the opportunity to develop stage presence, challenge themselves artistically, and build friendships through shared experiences. Whether performing as lead characters or as part of an ensemble, every dancer plays an essential role in bringing these magical productions to life.

Additionally, our Competition Team competes in three to four regional competitions per year, where they showcase their talent, artistry, and hard work. In the summer, we travel to Nationals, where our dancers spend a week performing solos, duets, groups, and productions before an elite panel of judges. These experiences not only build confidence and teamwork but also create unforgettable memories filled with bonding, team-building activities, and fun-filled nights.

Our Competition Team and choreographers have been recognized with countless awards and scholarships over the years, consistently excelling in categories such as Overall Placement, Choreography, Technique, and Team Spirit. Their dedication and artistry continue to shine on every stage they step onto.

Our committed members, ranging in age from 6 to 18, attend weekly technique and choreography classes, developing not only their dance skills but also essential values like respect, accountability, and perseverance. We are incredibly proud of their dedication, loyalty, and strong character, and we celebrate them for their hard work both in and out of the studio.
